The SAB issues recommendations and opinions on:
- Strategies and scientific orientation of the Foundation and its various centers
- The specific or general aims of projects carried out or in progress
- The scientific and technological challenges encountered during the realization of the projects
- The current use and future market prospects for the results obtained and the products developed within the framework of MAScIR’s R&D projects
The SAB is also responsible for supervising the periodic evaluation of the Foundation’s research centers. This evaluation may be entrusted to one or more members of the SAB or to external experts selected by the SAB and appointed by the Foundation.
The SAB is convened twice a year by its chairman. If necessary, additional meetings can be organized at the request of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The SAB may invite additional experts likely to provide additional insights.
The work and recommendations of the SAB are the subject of an annual letter sent by its chairman to the Board of Directors.
The Chair of the SAB may propose the creation of sub-committees, which may exercise his prerogatives in a specific scientific theme.
The Chair of the SAB may invite managers and executives from MAScIR’s management to attend the SAB meetings.
