CGEM AND THE MAScIR FOUNDATION JOIN THEIR EFFORTS TO PROMOTE APPLIED R&D
CGEM and MAScIR are joining forces to promote applied R&D.
The two institutions are also joining forces to contribute to a healthy and effective economic recovery.
Casablanca, June 3, 2021 – Mr. Chakib ALJ, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and Mr. Mohammed Khalid LARAICHI, President of the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR), signed today, June 3, 2021, at the CGEM headquarters, a partnership agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two institutions in order to bring the world of research closer to the national economic and industrial fabric.
Thus, the two institutions will work together to encourage Moroccan companies from all sectors and regions to include applied R&D in their development strategies. They will also promote the innovative projects of these companies to potential investors or investment funds in order to create wealth and promote the “Made in Morocco” brand.
“We are pleased to establish this partnership with MAScir that will allow us to join forces to promote R&D and innovation, which represent a heavy investment for Moroccan companies, especially TPMEs, to enable them to seize the opportunities of Industry 4.0. Our collaboration also aims to support the national economic and industrial fabric for an effective, healthy and serene recovery”, says the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).
“The signing of a partnership agreement is always a moment of satisfaction that follows a series of contacts, meetings and exchanges and that finally testifies to the establishment of mutual confidence between the parties and a common project. The aim now is to convince industrialists and economic operators that R&D is fundamental to the development of their activities and that innovation is a great key to their competitiveness and success. In this sense, MAScIR wishes to be a partner that is available and open to all the R&D projects that will be submitted to it”, underlines, for his part, the President of the MAScIR Foundation.
In order to accompany companies for an effective economic recovery and to promote health security, MAScIR will offer to CGEM member companies, two solutions that are dedicated to the diagnosis and large-scale screening of Sars-Cov-2. The Covid-19 Real Time PCR diagnostic kit produced and marketed by its startup Moldiag and the new Rapid Covid-19 IR device which allows to perform an analysis in 20 seconds. These solutions will be made available to member companies with preferential conditions.
With these solutions, the economic recovery will be all the more concrete, notably regarding the easing of health restrictions announced this week, particularly for the event sector.
