The African BioGenome Project (AfricaBP) has published a groundbreaking article in Nature Genetics, highlighting the tremendous success of the 2023 regional workshops focused on biodiversity genomics and bioinformatics. This remarkable initiative trained 408 scientists across 11 African countries, fostering capacity-building and collaborative research on the continent.
